The IBC monks will be observing the great Festival of the Buddha’s Turning of the Wheel of Dharma, or Choekhor Duchen, with a Tara Puja next Saturday, July 18th from 2-5pm.

Choekhor Duchen is one of the four major Buddhist holidays. It occurs on the fourth day of the sixth Tibetan lunar month and commemorates the day the Buddha turned the Wheel of Dharma for the first time, at Sarnath, by teaching the ‘Four Noble Truths’.

Geshe Namgyal and Geshe Dekyong will recite the Tara Puja in observance of this holy day. All other IBC events are cancelled.

Everyone is welcome to attend. Attendees may bring offerings of fruit or flowers for the altar, monetary contributions for the monks, or snacks to share with everyone as they wish.
