Venerable Lobsang Chukyi, an ordained Buddhist nun and Director of Diamond Mountain University, concluded her inspiring teaching on Dakshen Nyamje Sunday December 11, 2005. This practice, which translates as The Equality and Exchange of Self and Others, is from Chapter 8 of The Guide to the Bodhisattva's Way of Life and along with Tonglen forms the main teaching of the Lojong tradition.

One of the highlights of the weekend was watching our new friend Becky from Michigan officially become a Buddhist by taking her refuge vows from Ani-la. Potluck was held on Saturday, which we were fortunate enough to have Geshe-la attend. The teaching ended on a particularly auspicious note as many of those attending took the wish to become a Bodhisattva. We are grateful to Ani Chukyi-la for once more bringing a bit of Diamond Mountain here to the Midwest and look forward to her next visit.
